Messiah Center for Hope (MCFH) is a nonprofit 501c3 community-based organization committed to youth advocacy, attainable housing, equitable economic development And public transportation in the 48111 neighborhood. In 2020, this place-based organization was developed celebrated and reinforced the diversity of our community through social action as well as financial and programmatic investment in its people, ideas, and enterprises.
Community engagement lies at the core of Messiah’s organizational culture and is its primary source for the nonprofit’s vision, strategy, and evolution. Fostering an atmosphere of equity and inclusion, MCFH invites community members to participate by voicing their ideas, questions, and concerns. Through these conversations the organization identifies and offer programming, resources, and events which address the community's interests. As the 48111 community continues to experience growth, MCFH focuses on residents’ concerns about affordable rent practices, the availability of public, increased cost of living, and plateaued wages.
Community residents drive MCFH programming, which aims to empower participants and help create financial stability for youth, adults, and families. MCFH can increase the prospects for young people to create meaningful and prosperous lives by supporting their educational needs and helping them develop work and social skills that lead to a career path vs. a job.
